A big part of this is "Leading" instead of "following". What I mean is for those making the change should put pressure on the bad influences to change rather than just allowing them to go about continuing their bad habits. This can be done tactfully without coming off snooty or losing friends. Suggestion and leading by example are strong influences.

Thanks so much for the shout-out for our little book — and what an honor to be listed in the same breath as Eli Goldratt and Gary Vaynerchuk!

Good advice here - the statistics are shocking indeed. I've been looking for ways to keep myself motivated though, since I usually start my workout/nutrition programs and my willpower usually fades away in a few weeks... Any suggestions?

Nice art. People must know how important it its to provide vitamins and micro-elements. I would suggest to concentrate on eating veg, as these contain less carbohydrates, which equals less calories. Obviously you can't exclude fruit. Apart from additional vitamins etc you get great snacks. Better them than sweets.
Regards.

I'm excited too! As a woman, I'm always trying to find exercises that actually work. Oh, and yes, I've done push-ups before.(=0) My problem comes from warming up. I never feel like I've done enough. This book hopefully will help me out what that.

Thanks for the recommendation!

This is very relevant: Wearing the correct footware is often overlooked by people just staring out in many sports. You knees especially are very valnurable if you have the wrong shoes, and it's not just in running - You need the proper shoes in any sport, like squash, tennis, and even simply walking.

I think that the biggest problem with getting flat stomach is that people often do not continue doing exercises or keeping diet. It is very much in our brain. We would like to have it flat but it is hard to sacrifice for it. And even if one get it then often do not maintain it so after couple of months everything is as before.

Hmm. . . I do like the 300 workout, and it's easy to mix it up, but the Bodyweight 500 -- nice. 50 stability ball jackknifes? Ouch. I think that part might kick my butt.

Crazy that times have changed in the respect that exercise isn't tv tag or hide n' seek, its World of warcraft, videogames, mom no longer says go outside and play she stuffs you in front of the tv with some fast food and a video game to keep you behaved and than wonders why your 25 pounds over weight....sad anyway, I really enjoy this article I live the same way. I constantly over analyze everything far more than I should but it helps because They are things I know I can succeed in, so i choose to press through, training is a great example for sure, you have to live it like a lifestyle, not a diet or program, it has to be natural, and you will forever have success with fitness, and yourself!!!

Jumping rope is absolutely one of the sciekst forms of cardio, it has the ability to shred your entire body, ruin your wrists and make you want to cry if you push it hard enough.....Love it, one of my favorite, I use that toward the front end of an interval session to get the blood flowing, Feels great as that burn takes over your wrists and forearms....HIGHLY SUGGESTED. good article.

It looks as though you're cardio resembles a lot of metabolic conditioning. Have you considered trying Crossfit? It focuses on similar concepts that you are using, but places significant emphasis on strength, coordination, balance, and speed. I, too, hate long and boring cardio sessions. I have been on numerous traditional strength/cardio plans over the last few years and just decided to make the switch to Crossfite to slowly stray away from what i have done in the past. Its tough to make a switch to something so contrary to the status quo, but what do you have to lose? Check out their website for more info.
